Yogurt Avocado Dressing
Yield: About 1 1/4 cups
Cook Time: None.
Tips: May be made with plain or lemon yogurt.
Suggestion: Delicious served over leafy green or fruit salads or served as a garnish or dip.
Yogurt Avocado Salad Dressing is similar to Avocado Lemon Dill Salad Dressing, in that it features the flavors of avocado, lemon and dill. This avocado salad dressing recipe differs, in that it uses yogurt (plain or lemon) and milk to add flavor and creaminess rather than sour cream and mayonnaise. It is lighter than one would imagine, and is wonderful for a variety of salads, and can
be used in place of the other avocado salad dressing in LTF's Chicken & Avocado Salad recipe. It can also be used as a dip for fresh vegetables.
This delicious salad dressing is very easy to make and takes only a few minutes. The lemon juice helps to preven the dressing from turning brown, allowing it to store in the refrigerator for days while maintaining its color.
If you enjoy avocados with a variety of foods, you might also want to experiment with this dressing with other foods such as omelets, hamburgers, sandwiches, soups or as a garnish for Mexican dishes. Avocados are packed with vitamins and minerals. They also are a great source for omega 3 fatty acids. For the best results when making this delicious salad dressing, take your time in choosing avocados that are ripened, but in the beginning stages of softening. This way, you will end up with a vibrant green salad dressing that not only tastes fresh, but it will color your salad or any other dishes beautifully.
