Pepperoni, Green Olives and Feta Pizza
Yield: 1 large pizza (6-8 slices) or 3 individual pizzas
Cook Time: 10-15 minutes
Tips: You can adjust the amount of toppings according to your personal preference.
Suggestion: Delicious served with a salad.
Pepperoni is perhaps on the top of the list when it comes to a popularity contest of pizza toppings. Granted, this is probably due to the salty and peppery flavor of pepperoni as well as the way it crisps around the edges while the pizza bakes, creating a wonderful chewy and crispy texture. Perhaps another reason pepperoni is so popular is
because of its versatility, and how well it can blend with all sorts of other topping ingredients.
This Pepperoni, Green Olives & Feta cheese (plain or herbed feta cheese may be used) pizza recipe presents yet another fabulous way to celebrate pepperoni. Due to my appreciation for pepperoni, green olives and feta cheese, I decided to create a pizza with a combination of these three ingredients (along with a traditional base of pizza sauce and grated mozzarella cheese), and now consider this one of my all-time favorite pizzas. The photo above shows this pizza made to my personal liking, but you can certainly increase or reduce the amount of each ingredient to your own specific taste. Depending on how much time you have to spare, you can either make your own homemade pizza dough or purchase frozen unbaked or already-baked pizza dough at the grocery store. Homemade pizza dough is very easy and fun to make - it just requires some time for the dough to rise.
