Pork Chops with Apple Cider Glaze
Yield: 2 servings
Cook Time: About 15 minutes
Tips: May use boneless pork chops or pork chops with bone-in.
Suggestion: Delicious with traditional barbecue side dishes and any other sides.
Ingredients
- 2 boneless or bone-in pork chops
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 teaspoon pepper
- 1/8 teaspoon granulated garlic
- 1/8 teaspoon red pepper flakes
- Apple Cider Glaze
- 1/2 cup apple jelly
- 1/4 cup apple cider
- 1/4 teaspoon red pepper flakes
- 1 tablespoon Dijon mustard
Directions
Prepare a charcoal fire or gas grill so the coals can heat up while you are preparing the glaze and pork chops.
Place apple jelly, apple cider and red pepper flakes in a small saucepan. Gently whisk together while bringing to a boil and cook until liquid has reduced to 1/2 cup. Once reduced, whisk in Dijon mustard. Turn off heat, allowing saucepan to sit on burner to keep warm while preparing the pork chops.
Rub pork chops with olive oil, then sprinkle with salt, pepper, garlic and red pepper flakes.
Grill pork chops over medium-hot coals for about 7 minutes per side or until cooked to taste. Liberally baste both sides of pork chops with Apple Cider Glaze while cooking, basting one last time just before removing them from the grill. Serve.
